For Immigration Attorneys
Document Support for Immigration Practices
Notarization and apostille handling for your clients' supporting documents, scheduled directly with your office.
Execution Support, Nothing More
Illini Notary is execution support for documents your firm has already prepared and specified. Your office decides what the file requires and how each document is worded. The notary completes the notarial act, and where requested, the authentication, at your firm's direction.
That boundary is deliberate and it is not softened anywhere on this page. Illini Notary and Signing Services is not a law firm, does not provide legal or immigration advice, and does not form a judgment about what any file needs.
Where the Service Is Used
- Notarization of affidavits and supporting statements your office has already drafted
- Apostille authentication of Illinois issued documents through the Illinois Secretary of State
- Authentication of federally issued documents, such as an FBI background check, through the United States Department of State
- Authentication of documents issued by another state through that state's own competent authority
- Signings for people who cannot travel to your office, including hospital, care facility, and homebound appointments
- Remote online notarization for a signer or a witness located outside Illinois
The three authentication routes are the same ones described on the destination pages. An Illinois issued document goes to the Illinois Secretary of State, a federally issued document goes to the United States Department of State, and a document issued by another state goes to that state's own authority.
What Is Outside the Scope
- Illini Notary and Signing Services is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice
- Illini Notary does not determine which documents a file requires
- Illini Notary does not select the notarial certificate
- Illini Notary does not speak to eligibility, process, or the consequences of any filing
- Illini Notary does not review a filing for legal sufficiency
Illini Notary does not complete, prepare, fill out, or translate an immigration form. Every service described on this page is the notarization or authentication of a document your own staff has already prepared. Illinois law treats immigration form work as a separate, separately regulated activity for a notary who is not an attorney or an accredited representative, and Illini Notary does not offer it.
Confidentiality
This site collects contact information only. It never collects document contents, and it has no upload field on any page. That is a standing operational fact across the whole site, and it matters more here than anywhere else, because an immigration file carries information a person cannot afford to have handled loosely.
Documents are handled directly with your office rather than through any public form, so nothing about a person's situation passes through a web submission.

Illini Notary and Signing Services is not a law firm and is not authorized to provide immigration advice or to prepare immigration filings. We notarize signatures and facilitate authentication where Illinois law permits. We are not notarios. In the United States a notary public has no authority to give legal advice or to represent another person in an immigration matter. Immigration questions must be directed to a licensed attorney or to a representative accredited by the United States Department of Justice. Illinois law also limits the fees a notary public may charge for a notarial act.
