Accessibility Statement
Effective September 12, 2026. Last updated September 13, 2026.
1. OUR COMMITMENT
Illini Notary and Signing Services is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
2. STANDARD WE BUILD TO
This website is designed and maintained with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA. Conformance work includes semantic page structure, a single logical heading order on every page, text alternatives for meaningful images, visible keyboard focus indicators, color contrast that meets the Level AA thresholds for text and interactive elements, labeled form fields with clear error messages, and full functionality without reliance on color alone.
Motion and animation are reduced or removed when your device or browser is set to reduce motion.
3. ONGOING WORK
Accessibility is maintained rather than finished. We review new pages before publication and we review the site periodically. If a third-party component embedded in the site does not meet the same standard, we will provide the same information or function through an accessible alternative.
4. ACCESSIBLE SERVICE, NOT ONLY AN ACCESSIBLE WEBSITE
Our services are built around meeting people where they are. We travel to homes, hospitals, care facilities, and workplaces. We perform remote online notarization for signers who cannot travel. We schedule evenings and weekends. If you need an accommodation in order to complete a notarial act, including additional time, a specific meeting location, or arrangements involving an interpreter or a witness, tell us when you schedule and we will make reasonable arrangements.
A note on what a notary may and may not do. Illinois law requires the signer to be identified, to appear as required, and to sign willingly and with understanding of the act. We can make the circumstances of an appointment accommodating. We cannot waive a requirement that Illinois law places on the act itself.
5. TELL US ABOUT A BARRIER
If any part of this website or any part of our service is difficult for you to use, tell us and we will address it and provide the information or service you need another way.
